Refresh your colours: small group session for existing clients

For existing clients who've had their colours done – refresh your colour knowledge, ask questions, get a makeup lesson + hair colour ideas.

  • If you haven't had a colour consultation with me, please look on the Events page for an upcoming Discover Your Colours session.

Join a small, friendly group for a fun, interactive session to discuss your colour palette and how to use it.

This session will refresh all the things we discussed when you had your colours done. You can ask questions and learn by watching and participating as we drape and help each other see how colours and contrast work with our natural colouring.

Break out of any ruts you're in and get ideas for new colour combinations.

What you'll receive

This relaxed session will include lots of laughs and:

  • an interactive event where you'll learn by participating and watching other people being draped

  • a check-up to see whether your colours have changed (if your hair colour has changed, this is very likely) since you had your colour session with me

  • a make-up lesson and advice on using any of your own makeup you bring along

  • the opportunity to ask lots of questions and see different ways to combine and visualise colours

  • if you don't already have one: an electronic swatch* of your personal colour palette you can keep on your phone

*optional extra: you can buy a physical swatch of your colours for $85 (you can decide about that any time – these may need to be ordered if they're not in stock on the day).

The event will be run in Mount Nelson, Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. The address will be provided once you've completed your registration, along with detailed information about preparing for the session.

Notes about accessibility

Unfortunately this venue isn't accessible if you use a wheelchair. I'll try to find a wheelchair-accessible venue for future events. You can also contact me directly about the option of doing an online event.

You'll need to park on the street and walk uphill along a driveway. Someone can drive down to collect you if walking up a slope is difficult for you. The venue has two steps to the front door and, when required, there are 12 steps down to a bathroom which does not have grab rails.

Let me know if you have any accessibility or sensory needs, so I can make sure you comfortably get all the information you need.

Op shop like a legend: Moonah

Style can be learned – let's learn in a safe, joyful, low-risk way in this small group session

Does your style need refreshing? Has your body or life changed and your clothes don't feel right any more? Ever secretly wished Trinny and Susannah would swing by and go through your wardrobe (though without the criticism and snark)?

Join a small group of lovely people on this op shop visit to learn how to see yourself differently (and less critically), to assess the fit of garments and analyse how they work with your body and colouring.

I've chosen an op shop because a) I'm a fan of re-use, b) they have a wider range of colours and styles than what's currently in fashion in shops at the moment, c) it's a low-risk way to try new styles and d) money you spend goes to charity.

In this session you’ll get:

  • personal style advice and attention

  • encouragement and feedback as you try different types of clothing to start to define or refine your style

  • advice on how to go op shopping without overwhelm (or over-buying) – so you can go op shopping confidently in future

  • help to find something specific, if you have an event coming up

  • second opinions on colours and fabrics that suit you

  • (fingers-crossed) some new items you love and will wear the heck out of

  • the confidence to go home and alter or donate things that don’t work for you

  • lots of laughs, wonderful company and maybe some new op shopping buddies.

Sessions are limited to just five people so we can all bond quickly and I can give each of you lots of my attention.

Format: a creative, practical and joyful 1.5 hour op shop romp, followed by an optional cuppa and chat afterwards in a nearby coffee shop.

Tickets: AUD$55 or $35 concession

This venue is accessible, with off-street parking. Access to this op shop is via a driveway off Main Road.

Discover your colours: small group session for new clients

Find the colours that make you look and feel like your best self, with or without makeup.

Join a small, friendly group for a fun, interactive session to find your best colours.

Learn to see yourself in an entirely different way. Tune out your inner critic by focussing on the unique colours, shades and contrast in your natural colouring.

This is perfect for people who love facts and science. You'll take notes and learn by doing, listening and watching as I drape each person in turn to find their 'best' colour palette, which has versions of all colours (don't worry, I won't tell you never to wear black again, though you might choose not to if you find colours you love much better).

See for yourself why some colours light you up and others wash you out. Learn how to use your colour palette to find clothing, makeup and accessories that make you shine.

What you'll receive

  • a personal draping consultation to identify your best colours and show you how to see if any colour suits you. Each person will be draped individually in front of a mirror and in front of the group to find their personal palette of colours and their signature colours, so everyone learns from seeing the process repeatedly

  • knowledge about how to use your colour palette and recognise your colours 'in the wild'

  • an analysis of how much contrast you have in your features and how this can guide your use of darker or lighter colours

  • hard-copy notes about the session that you can add to as we go

  • an electronic swatch of your personal colour palette you can keep on your phone

  • emailed follow-ups including more information about your colour palette and how to use it.

You'll go on my private mailing list to hear about exclusive events and information.

*optional extra: you'll get a digital copy of your colours to keep on your phone or computer, however you can also buy a physical swatch of your colours for $85 (you can decide about that any time – these may need to be ordered if they're not in stock on the day).

The event will be run in Mount Nelson, Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. The address will be provided once you've completed your registration, along with detailed information about preparing for the session.
